Honors in Action Committee: Honors in Action is the Chapter’s biggest project of the year. The Chapter will choose a complex, real-world issue related to the Honors Study Topic “Inheritance and Legacy” Now we need YOUR assistance to further research and write about the topic chosen. By participating in HIA Committees, you will be provided opportunities to apply learning and practice real-world problem-solving by developing an in-depth, action-oriented project. College Project Committee: The College Project Committee is designed to support your college administration by providing assistance in projects that help improve the Collin College experience. Students in the College Project Committee will work with ideas such as improving knowledge about and accessibility to Honors courses, creating peer help workshops, recycling projects and much more. Service Committee: Do you enjoy working with people? Believe it is imperative that Collin College students complete their curriculum? Perhaps you like the idea of helping those in need? Then the Service Committee was made for you!! Promote College Completion by coordinating a signing event for C4, develop a service component of the Chapter’s College Project and/or the Honors In Action Project, or create, plan, and execute community service projects such as CougarThon Dance Marathon to Benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospital in Dallas and Plano. This Committee has so many opportunities waiting for you to develop and promote active service and volunteerism on a regular basis. Fellowship Committee: Do you enjoy planning events and fun things to do? Want to connect with like-minded scholars and help them connect with others? The Fellowship committee is for you! Come help us organize fun group events such as Paintball shooting, Go Karting, Virtual Quiz Bowl, Bowling, Arcade gaming, Ax-Throwing and many more!! You will also get to meet with other Phi Theta Kappa members from various colleges in Texas, and other phenomenal leaders from Phi Theta Kappa!!
